Today's Friday 56 From STRUNG OUT by Lyrica Creed
Once upon a time when you were mine.
We murdered happily ever after, fairy tales, and rhymes.
We murdered happily ever after, fairy tales, and rhymes.
Lyrics? Obviously.
Every wall of the cavernous shower was spotted in
places with red and black lyric graffiti verses. An Expo
marker rested on a tiled ledge.

Distorted flickers of reality,
Contorted givers of immortality,
Aborted triggers of fatality.
I had even overlooked a few verses on the glass
shower door!
shower door!
She fed me and bled me, a woman so deadly.

When my best friend disappears after partying on her favorite band's tour bus, I travel to L.A. to track down the band known as Rageon and find Ivy.My ex-stepbrother, Gage, a musician who’s just come off tour invites me to crash at his place. The last time I saw Gage in person, we were teens. He's a popular presence on social media, so I’m prepared for the tattoo-covered rocker who answers my knock. What I’m not expecting is to find the sweet, sensitive teen I grew up with is now an irresponsible, partying playboy with a drug addiction.
As the search for Ivy narrows, my relationship with my rockstar stepbrother becomes more complicated. My search for Ivy takes me places I never wanted to go.
And my heart is an unwilling passenger on that dark ride.

ReplyDeleteI've read a few rock star romances and enjoyed them. I'll have to give this one a try. I have a cozy this week - Purr M for Murder by T. C. LoTempio. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteNow I am intrigued. The mention of California...and rock star...piqued my curiosity. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: “EENY MEENY”
I don't read much rockstar romance. This sounds like quite the mess. LOL Hope you enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteMy Friday 56 from The Roanoke Girls
Not my usual genre, but I do like the music element. :)
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
This book would take me to places I've never been. Sounds like a journey I'd enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMy Friday post features Blueprints.
Sounds like a story of forbidden lust. Might make for good reading even if I am not for it either... lol
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
