Synopsis:
This book is a Romantic Comedy, but still should not be read by those under 18.
When Jordan moves in with his friend’s cousin, he thinks things will be easy. Yeah, screw that. The woman is a pain in his ass from the start, giving him whiplash with her hot and cold act. Still, Jordan can’t help wanting Alix—even if he does spend half the time trying to decide if he wants to kiss her senseless or choke her.
For Alix, men are worthless jerks. She’s made a vow to steer clear of relationships, but the moment Jordan pushes his way into her life, her vow is shot all to hell. Every attempt at avoiding the cocky bastard ends in tangled sheets and Alix wanting to kill the man. But she wants him, more than she cares to admit.
Will this jaded couple give into their feelings? After all, it's Just Love, Not a Time bomb.

Excerpt

     “Yuck.”
Pretty much covered the whole freakin’ day.
A blinding red-white, red-white strobe, reflected in my brand new Wrangler’s rearview mirror, seized my attention. The police. I tossed my hands skyward, ready to surrender. I shouldn’t have been too surprised. Like I'd commented this a.m. to my roommate, Jenny, “Today, anything’s possible.”
     My Bad Day checklist included:
     - Crappy job interview, one which might have provided desperately needed     income.
     - Wore gut-busting panty hose on a hot day which had now worked past my     waist     and strangled my diaphragm.
     - A barely blowing air conditioner indicated something had malfunctioned in     my new, fun car.
I stole another glance in the mirror, and with great reluctance, flipped the right turn indicator. My vehicle coasted to a stop on the shoulder of Boston Avenue in my hometown of Sommerville, a nice suburb located between two large cities. Four lanes of cars and trucks zipped by as I sat there where every single one of my family, friends, friends’ friends, and their friends—including Rat Fink Suzanne—would see a police vehicle positioned right behind mine. Gleefully, drivers would chant the “Ha-ha, got you, not me” ditty.
     How embarrassing.
After killing the engine, I flopped back in the seat. Shooting the morons the finger was an idea. Nah. I'm too exhausted to care.
A litany of:  "No, not hiring." "Just filled the position." "You're over qualified." "You're under qualified…" tornadoed through my head. Coupled with the intense job search through various outlets like the internet and completing numerous online employment applications, no wonder my body had been depleted of all life force.
Not even a breeze blew to take the edge off the unbearable summertime heat. Tangled wild trees and dry scrubby bushes banked the roadside. The grass had taken on a scorched look. Rolling down the driver’s window, I surveyed my surroundings. Nothing great. Nothing new.
I stole a glance in the side mirror at the policeman who strode purposefully along the shoulder. The gravel crunched under his boots. He looked huge, probably because his uniform, which appeared to be bulked with a bullet-proof vest, made him resemble a buffed-up superhero in size. Exceedingly intimidating.
Sigh. When things went wrong, they were really wrong.

excerpt1
The sun was beginning to rise when I heard noises coming from the front door. Small knocks echoed in the cabin. Who could it be? I didn’t have friends here. It scared me but the curiosity stopped from going back to bed. I hope it wasn’t some jackass playing games on me. Quietly, I tiptoed to the door and opened it just a little to see who was hiding behind it. Close up of a couple kissing
“Baby?” My voice broke with emotion. “You travelled all the way here?” I jumped into his arms and kissed every inch of his face. I never expected to see him. My heart filled with joy, I couldn’t believe he was standing there at my door.
“For you, Ophelia, only for you, my baby. I love you so much.” He returned my kiss and his arms took me in a warm embrace. I missed those strong arms around me so much. I wanted to stay there forever.
“Come on in. It’s small but big enough for us.” I let him enter, never letting go of his hand, never leaving his sight. So many emotions were expressed only by the look in our eyes.
He let his backpack fall on the floor and he lift me into his arms. “You are gorgeous, baby, you are so fucking perfect. I want to give you the world and make you happy.” He laughed out of breath. “I’ve been thinking about what I would say to you for over sixteen hours, but seeing you here, now. There is only one thing you need to know. I’m in love with you and I want to share my life with you.”
“That makes two things,” I teased. “I am, too.” The words rolled off my tongue. “I’ve always love you and always will.”
We stood facing each other. Our past had been quite confusing at times. He’d waited for me, but whenever I was home, we were one. We acted like a couple, we were very involved physically. That was always our thing, our connection.
“Hearing you, seeing you telling me that you love me is everything I’ve ever wished for. I want to spoil you, make you see how happy you make me.”
“Show me.” I pulled him to me, holding his t-shirt. His touch had always meant everything to me. When we met, I’d been craving any kind of human affection. I wanted to be loved, I needed someone to hug me and make me feel safe and he was exactly that for me. Teo gave me the strength I needed to go on with my life.
“There is nothing else I rather do.” His lips crushed mine, taking possession of me. Our lips parted and our tongues met, hungry with desire. My hands hunted the skin of his waist, lifting off his t-shirt and feeling the warmth emanating for his body.
Teo didn’t waste more time, he removed the only clothing I was wearing, which was one of his old t-shirt that I had stolen before leaving.
“Baby, look at you, you’re incredibly sexy.” He whispered, nibbling on my earlobe.
My desire for him had me all mixed up. I wanted to push him on the couch, I wanted to undress him. I needed him to show me how much he loved me. “Let me get you out of that top.” I said, lifting it over his head and dropping it on the floor. I let my hands dance on his chest, enjoying the feel of his skin under my fingers. His muscles hardened under my touch.
         “You’re driving me crazy.”
I chuckled shyly. My fingers grabbed hold of the belt of his jeans, pulling him toward my bedroom. The bed had to be the best place for what we had in mind. I undid his belt and unbuttoned his pants as we walked toward the room. His lips trailed a line of kisses from my lips to my jaw and then to the hollow of my neck. It sent shivers all over my body making my nipples pucker. I pushed his pants and underwear down and pulled him into the bed with me.
“You have no idea how many nights I’ve wished to have you here with me. You are the one I love Teo.”
“I love you. I’m never getting rid of you. Look at you,” he said admiring my body, feeling my breast with his hands. “You’re everything. My everything.”
With my both hands, I held his face and looked at him. Love reflected into his eyes and I hope he could see how much love I had in mine. I needed him to see it, to feel it. I had never loved someone that hard. It scared me but I knew he would always have my back. I trusted that he would find the perfect words to make me feel secure.
“I could get used to that look on your face. The one that says, oh Teo, you’re the man of my fantasies, the one I’ve been dreaming of all my life.” He mimicked my voice.
         We both laughed.
         “You’re an ass.”
“It was the first promise I made you, and I keep my promises.” He kissed my lips languorously. “I don’t know why it feels so different. We’ve been doing this for a very long time but it feels like it’s the first time in all those times that I own you, that you really are mine.”
“It’s because you do, I’m yours, baby, I’m yours.” I sighed. “I’m sorry that I kept you waiting all this time. It was very selfish of me. I can’t believe that you’re still here wanting me.”
He smiled and nodded. Maybe he was happy hearing me acknowledge all the effort he had made over the years.
“Enough talking now. I need to show my girl how much I missed her.”

Blurb

Heather Morrow has been fighting demons all her life, but the past two years have likely been her darkest.  So when her friend Katie invites her to a reunion of sorts, Heather jumps at the chance, because Katie, one of the most down-to-earth people Heather has ever called friend, is the only person she has ever felt like herself around, and Heather realizes that she needs an ally to help her out of the shadows.

Kiefer Steele, vocalist for Shock Treatment, has been battling some demons of his own.  He’s been a nothing most of his life, but world-famous J.C. Gibson took him from his beach-combing, weed-smoking ways and helped him make something of himself…except life on the road has taken its toll.  The only ray of hope in his life has been his continuing online friendship with Heather.  The two met in person once, backstage at a concert, and their friendship has grown stronger.

They haven’t seen each other in three years, though, and both have changed immensely.

When they discover each other’s darkest secrets, will their friendship—and budding romance—survive, or are they destined to spend their lives apart…and alone?

Excerpt

They walked off the deck and Kiefer said, “So what did you want to talk about?”

“Hmm.  I’m not even sure where to start.”

“No pressure.”  Kiefer looked up toward the mountain across the road.  It was covered in evergreen trees and the sky above was a light blue, clean and clear.  He could see why Johnny wanted to live here.  Regular worries were gone, far and away, and it was like regular shit just didn’t matter.

Heather stopped walking, so Kiefer slowed and turned to face her.  “Um...I have a proposal for you.”

He raised his eyebrow.  “Yeah?”

“Yeah.”  She drew in a deep breath and looked in his eyes, but he could tell it was hard for her.  “I, uh...I don’t want or need a relationship.  But I’m so glad you’re my friend.”

Kiefer smiled.  “Ditto.”

“So...just so we can get it out of our systems...why don’t we, uh, explore our attraction, but...when we leave here, things go back to the way they were.”  Kiefer drew in a long, slow breath.  Was she saying what he thought she was?  “That sound okay?”

Honestly, no, it sounded like a copout.  He thought some of telling her that, but he wanted her.  He wanted her to continue to be a part of her life and he also wanted to step it up a notch after what they had experienced last night.  This might be his only chance to convince her that a more intense relationship could be a good thing.  So he nodded.  “Yeah.”  On impulse, he took her hand in his.  He wanted to start now.

Heather had other ideas, though.  “Not here.”  Kiefer couldn’t help the look of confusion that he knew appeared on his face.  She let go of his hand but got a little closer, almost as though she were afraid someone would be able to hear her.  “If we’re going to go back to the way things were after this week, then I don’t want to give anybody here any bright ideas, and I don’t want to answer any questions or deal with any looks.”

He nodded, saying nothing.  He could live with that.  And that also gave him several days to see what he could do to change her mind.

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado, moved from one city/town to the next, and she’s decided she likes it so much she wants to stay…although travel is not out of the question.  She lives in a big town in Colorado (not unlike the fictional Winchester she writes so much about) with her husband and four children.  She is working on becoming a crazy cat lady.  Okay, so maybe not.

Still want more?  Jade has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Theater, a master’s degree in English, and a master of fine arts in Creative Writing.  Obviously, she loves school and the student loan folks love her.  She works in human services by day, teaches English and creative writing at night, and—in between playing soccer mom and community leader—writes like a fiend.  Someday soon, she’ll narrow it down to just writing, but let’s get all those kids off to college first.

Accepting Logan’s marriage proposal was the most exciting event of Lorna’s life. But deciding in what country to marry her fiancé proved to be more than a tearful ordeal. When Lorna’s dad announced unexpected news, the wedding wheels spun in a different direction.

With other family members stirring conflict, would there be a wedding? Or would their shared kiss deepen their desire?

"You're easy to flirt with," Lorna replied, her eyes briefly hooded, "Which means you can get carried away when tempted by a wanton woman." Her polished fingernails raked his palms and his grip tightened around her wrists.
With one look over his shoulder to check there was no waiter nearby, he whispered, his gaze unflinching, "I'm clearly unable to resist your seductive charm, Lorna," he agreed, lifting one hand in surrender. "But no other woman, I repeat, no other woman comes close to igniting even a spark here," he pointed to his head first and then to the left side of his chest.
Underneath the table, Lorna ran her toes from his knee to his feet and back up to his knee again. "You're my aphrodisiac, Logan. Right now, all I can think about is being thrown across your bed and driven wild with desire," her eyes glazed over as she spoke. Knowing his head and heart were filled with reckless passion for her was comforting.
"If you continue to seduce me, Lorna, I won't stop until I make you mine...until you scream out my name in the throes of ecstasy. That's a promise."
"Your main course," the waiter called out.
Their hands fell apart as the waiter arranged two plates piled high with parpadelli in cream and rigatoni with gorgonzola. There was a separate bowl of mixed salad with goat cheese.
Her mouth watered. She swallowed and sipped from the glass of water.
"I wonder if he heard our lewd conversation," Logan worried, casting backward glances at the receding back of the waiter spotting dreadlocks.
"I was so out, I didn't see him approach. What a sneaky man," Lorna murmured, leaning across the table.
He chuckled, looking over her shoulder. "Don't complain, sweetheart. I warned you to behave, didn't I?" He swiped his tongue over his lips before tucking into his meal.
